m4500

Semi-automatic machine for assembling clips and sensors to automotive disc brake pads using two servo controlled orbital riveters. After staking was complete the disc brake pads were automatically ejected using a magnetic conveyor.

cmyksmal

High speed eyletter for automotive disc pads. This machine was designed to assemble the disc brake lining to the steel plate with eyelets. Each eyeletter was mounted rigidly to the frame of the machine and the assemblies moved beneath using two servo motors. A unique transfer mechanism was used to allow the operator to place the pads and lining on a stationary platform while the previous pads were being assembled on a moving platform. This loading on a stationary platform allowed the operator to load and insert eyelets on over 900 pads per hour.

m3300

Automatic Straightener for Brake Shoes. The accuracy of the arc of the brake shoe is improved dramatically using this autofeed straightener. Brake shoes are manually fed in on one end, hydraulically compressed and inserted into straightening rolls to re-arc the shoe to factory specifications. This machine has been used in both aftermarket and OEM applications.

vision machine

Automatic Identification and Sorting. This machine was developed to meet the need of the production rebuilder to identify and sort over 600 different part numbers of shoes coming back for processing. The core of the identification portion was a vision system using two cameras and an ultrasonic sensor to measure the characteristics of the shoe and make an automatic identification. After the shoe was identified, it dropped onto a 120 foot long conveyor to discharge the shoes sorted into part number or characteristics. Later versions were capable of identifying and sorting up to 3000 shoes per hour.
