Loader Table without pedal

To properly preload the brake shoe and clamp assembly to 100 pounds per square inch, a loader table is a necessity, as it is difficult to estimate the pressure being applied by observing the deflection of the clamp or ‘feel’ the torque on the lock nut.

The loader tables we supply come equipped with an adjustable air regulator which allows the operator to set the pressure on the cylinder to match the area of the lining.
(See example below)

Various size air cylinders are available with piston areas ranging from 36 to 50 square inches

The loader tables can be supplied in either bench models as shown above or floor models as shown below. Each table assembly comes equipped with regulator and air gage, a quick release valve, foot pedal and two hose assemblies.

Each loader table is constructed of heavy gage steel and has a ground plate steel table top.

To calculate the area required to bond a shoe. First determine the area of the lining by multiplying the circumference of the lining by its width. Multiply this number by 100. This is the total pressure required to bond the lining to the shoe.

Next take this pressure and and divide it by the area of the air cylinder. This will give you the pressure to set on the gauge of the regulator.
