Conklin Equipment is a stocking distributor for coatings manufactured by Henkel Adhesives used for sealing and coating brake shoes prior to bonding, and adhesives for bonding brake linings.

Henkel is the current manufacturer of coatings sold previously under the names of BFGoodrich Plastilock, SIA Adhesives, Permafuse and S&E.

All of the adhesives and shoe dip are compounded in various ways for different applications. Conklin Equipment stocks the following:

• Plastilock PL-605-4
  This is a nitrile/phenolic bonding adhesive that can be roller coated, brushed or sprayed onto the brake lining. It is black in appearance and an excellent adhesive for the small shop. It is available in 5 gallon pails and can be shipped anywhere in United States.
• Plastilock A-602B
  This is an amber dip that can be used to protect the brake shoe from rust and improve the adhesion of lining segments to brake shoes. It is diluted with either Methyl Ethyl Ketone or Isopropyl Alcohol prior to application. It is available in 5 gallon pails and can be shipped anywhere in the United States.
